Team France heads to Malaysia determined to build on the seven points it scored against the odds in China. The team is determined to regain the competitiveness it enjoyed last season and will compete in Malaysia with Nicolas Lapierre and rookie Loic Duval.
Nicolas Lapierre will drive on the Sepang circuit for the first time this weekend: "Malaysia brings back a lot of great memories. On this track last year, I was a spectator watching Alexandre Premat win both races. I’ve studied the track closely with my old team mate and I know from last year that it can be a very demanding weekend with the high temperatures. I’ve been working hard in preparation, staying in the region to acclimatize after the race in Beijing. There are a lot of high-speed corners at the Sepang track it will be exciting and for sure one of the best races of the season as currently the cars are very close to each other. I am feeling very fit and ready to race after my performance in Beijing."
Eric Boullier, team manager, A1 Team France commented: "This track is very challenging and technical. It is very demanding on the drivers as the level of every team is very strong this year. We fought back strongly against the odds in China and coming here we are confident that without those kinds of disruptions we can start from our rightful place on the grid and fight for victory again."
