Following the news of the peace agreement reached in Munich, between the FIA and the Grand Prix Manufacturers 'Association, it seems remarkable that forty-eight hours after Tuesday's meeting there is still no official confirmation from either party.
At the height of the long drawn out, and often bitter, battle, neither side was 'shy' when it came to issuing press releases, statements and counter-statements, doing the dirty washing very much in the public eye.
Yet now, having reached an agreement, regarded as "a major breakthrough" that will govern the sport for "at least five years", the silence is deafening.
Or is there more to this than meets the eye?
