F1 test driver Sebastian Vettel is to head up Carlin's campaign at the 53rd Macau Grand Prix next weekend. Vettel will lead the four car strong team of Oliver Jarvis, Maro Engel and Sebastien Buemi.

But it's not a case of quantity over quality for the Aldershot based team. Carlin driver Oliver Jarvis, runner-up in this year's British F3 Championship and team-mate Maro Engel head to Macau with 19 F3 podiums between them. They will be joined by young Swiss driver Sebastien Buemi, who finished second in last year's Formula BMW World Final.

Bringing to the team essential experience of the tough street circuit, BMW Sauber test driver Sebastian Vettel will hope to better his third place in last year's event. Vettel follows in the footsteps of his BMW Sauber team mate Robert Kubica, in racing for Carlin at Macau before resuming F1 testing.

The four Carlin drivers will be hoping to add their names to the illustrious winners list, which includes F1 drivers such as Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, David Coulthard and Takuma Sato, who won the event with Carlin in 2001.

Team Principal, Trevor Carlin said, "The Macau Grand Prix has long been a favourite event of Carlin Motorsport and this year is no different. We go to Macau with a balanced driver line up, Oliver and Maro from our British F3 team and two drivers from the Red Bull programme, which has served us so well this year.

"I'm delighted to have Sebastian Vettel back in the team after his brilliant performance with us in World Series. I'm sure the other drivers will benefit from his experience at this very tough track. We were very unlucky not to win the race last year with Robert Kubica, losing the lead in the final laps. Hopefully, we will go one better this year and take the victory."
