One of the stewards officiating at Suzuka last weekend was Mumtaz Tahincioglu, known to be a close associate of FIA President Max Mosley.
However, Mr Tahincioglu, as boss of the Motor Sports & Organization Corp (MSO), is also the promoter of the Turkish Grand Prix.
Therefore, in view of the forthcoming appeal by the organizers of the Istanbul event against the $5m fine imposed by the FIA in light of the podium incident at the Grand Prix, we have Mr Tahincioglu who seemingly works for the FIA (prosecutor) together with MSO and Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED), of which he is chairman, (both defence).
Surely a conflict of interests?
