A1 Team Lebanon travelled directly from the Netherlands to Eastern Europe, with the A1GP cars transported by road to this next destination. The crew will start work tomorrow, setting up the pit garage infrastructure and preparing the team's 550 bhp racer.
A1 Team Lebanon drivers Khalil Beschir (right), Basil Shaaban, Alex Khateeb and Graham Rahal will all be at the Czech track, with Rahal making his first appearance in the new A1GP season. The 17-year-old recently finished his summer of racing in the Champ Car Atlantics Championship in which he finished second, with six podiums, five race wins and four poles, narrowly missing the title.
Rahal leads A1 Team Lebanon's A1GP Series campaign and is ready for the new season, saying, "I wasn't able to be in Zandvoort for the first round, but I've seen the races and they've certainly fired me up for Brno. There's a highly competitive field of very talented racers, many with experience of this track, so it's going to be an exciting challenge this weekend. I'm ready to take this on, and just want to climb in the car and get started. I'll have to wait until late Friday afternoon for this, but then it'll be an intensive weekend of A1GP for me. I'm expecting that we can run in the top ten, but until I get out there with the other drivers I won't really know."
