With the first of the GP2 'winter' tests at the HTTT Paul Ricard track in the south of France less than a week away, the Surrey, England based DPR team confirms that its drivers for the two days will be Bruno Senna of Brazil and Australian Michael Patrizi. Twenty-two-year-old Senna from São Paulo, who has just finished third with Double R Racing in the highly competitive British Formula 3 Championship, will drive for both test days (3rd /4th October) in the 4 litre, 580bhp Dallara- Renault GP2 car.
He will be joined for the test by 22year-old Patrizi who has this season been contesting the Formula BMW UK Championship. The driver from Kalgoorlie, Western Australia also competed in the final two rounds of the North American Champ Car Atlantic Series for Team Australia, finishing a very creditable 8th place in his first outing.
Team Principal David Price said of his first two test 'signings': "I'm looking forward to seeing how they will both do. It's a big leap between the lower formulas and GP2, especially the difference in power, the brakes and the grip. I'm sure they will both acquit themselves very well."
