Writing on his own website, Christijan Albers has revealed that he has concluded a deal to drive for Spyker (Midland) in 2007.
"I am happy to tell you, the fans, that I have signed a deal with Spyker for next season!" writes the Dutch youngster. "As I am writing this the team is preparing the press release for the media. It will be released in about three hours from now, at 13.00 local Shanghai time.
"I am extremely proud and happy to receive a new contract with Spyker," he continues. "It’s a Dutch team, with great people behind it. We can continue building what we started this year. The start of this season was hard, but things have been going better and better all the time. Now it’s time for the next step! It couldn’t be at a better time than with a real Dutch team obviously.
"I have a lot of confident in our future. With the backing of car manufacturer Spyker, our people in the Silverstone factory, and our loyal sponsors it will become a great season next year. The team will also announce their 2007 engine supplier very shortly, I can’t wait for next season really!
