GP2 driver, Michael Ammermuller (right), will drive on of the Red Bull cars at Jerez this week.
The German is scheduled to drive on Wednesday and Friday, partnering Robert Doornbos on both days, pending his appointment as the Austrian team's third driver for the remainder of the season.
Toro Rosso's Tonio Liuzzi will also be in action for Red Bull, partnering Doornbos on Thursday.
Yesterday, Red Bull confirmed that Doornbos will replace Christian Klien in the three remaining rounds.
Having banged his knee during practice at Monza - not to mention his head against a brick wall following the stewards' decision to penalize him for impeding Felipe Massa - Fernando Alonso will miss this week's test, leaving Giancarlo Fisichella, Heikki Kovalainen and José Maria López to begin preparations for China and Japan.
Honda will have Rubens Barrichello, Anthony Davidson and James Rossiter on duty.
