Mark Gillan, who previously worked as Head of Vehicle Performance at Jaguar Racing, but who quit to become a lecturer at the University of Surrey, is to join Toyota as Head of Aerodynamics.
Gillan, who holds a Ph.D in Aeronautical Engineering, which he obtained at Queens University, Belfast, began his Formula One career with McLaren in 1998, before joining Jaguar in 2002
It's understood that Gillan will take up the position at the beginning of 2007, and will report to Senior General Manager Chassis, Pascal Vasselon.
