German youngster Sebastian Vettel, who got to test for WilliamsF1 last year, having dominated Formula BMW in 2004, is to test for BMW at Jerez tomorrow (Wednesday).
Vettel, who was nineteen on Monday (July 3), is currently under contract to Red Bull, but BMW has had an option on him since 2002.
There is much speculation over the German team's line up for 2007, and though Jacques Villeneuve has made no secret of the fact that he wants to remain in F1, he has recently made noises regarding other options.
With Robert Kubica consistently impressing in the Friday practice sessions, it's is quite feasible that the Pole will step up to a full race seat next season alongside Heidfeld, with Vettel taking the test seat.
Vettel is currently third in the F3 Euro Series, behind Paul di Resta and Esteban Guerrieri.
Meanwhile, Colin Fleming, a product of the Red Bull Driver Search Programme, currently competing in the Formula Renault World Series, has asked to be freed of his contract and leave the Red Bull programme.
