The Pitpass United States GP Quiz

Visitors to Geoff Collins' blog will no doubt have noticed that it hasn't been updated since June 12, just after the British Grand Prix. In fact that's a bit of a lie since Geoff had the audacity to post his prediction for the outcome of the Canadian Grand Prix several days after the event... a typical Collins trick.

Geoff's excuse for the failure to update his blog includes the usual; ‘been busy’, ‘visits from relatives’, ‘watching Switzerland in the World Cup’ - not that they were in it for long - and various other rubbish, all of which, to be frank, insults our intelligence.

Whereas the truth is that faced with the thought of having his secrets made public, a consequence of having failed to deliver the Canada Quiz on time, he did a runner. The cowardly sod disappeared from his toadstool, or wherever it is that Swiss gnomes live, and hid away for a week in the hope that the heat would die down. As if.

Furthermore, Geoff hasn't helped his cause by taking a rather silly dig at the editor's age... will he never learn?

Anyway, this week Geoff looks back at the 2005, 1986 and 1960 United States Grands Prix.

With just six cars on track, one would think that Geoff would struggle coming up with questions for the 2005 race, we'll certainly have to pass because once the ‘race that never was’ got underway, we headed down the pub.

Looking back to 1986, Geoff asks, where was the race held, who replaced Christian Danner (who was standing in for Surer at Arrows), and who reversed into the path of the hapless Thierry Boutsen?

And going even further back to 1960; do you remember where the race was held and who won?
