Michael Schumacher has revealed that he has provided the voice for a character in the latest computer-animated feature to come out of Hollywood.
In the wake of The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story and A Bug's Life, CARS is described as a "high octane delight for moviegoers of all ages, fuelled with plenty of humour, action, heartfelt drama, and amazing new technical feats".
Schumacher, who will provide the 'voice' for a Ferrari is joined by other racing legends including Richard Petty, Mario Andretti, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Darrell Waltrip.
The movie also features Tony Shalhoub, Michael Keaton, Cheech Marin, George Carlin, Katherine Helmond, and John Ratzenberger.
The movie tells the story of Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed, who discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs.
On route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California, where he will compete against seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town's offbeat characters - including Doc Hudson (Paul Newman), Sally (a snazzy 2002 Porsche voiced by Bonnie Hunt), and Mater (a rusty but trusty tow truck voiced by Larry The Cable Guy) - who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship.
It still sounds more plausible than Driven!
CARS opens in the USA on June 9th.
