WilliamsF1 driver Mark Webber, one of up to 14 drivers whose contract runs out at the end of this season, has revealed that he would like to remain at WilliamsF1, should the Grove outfit wish to retain him.

"There's a lot of unfinished business here I think," he told Reuters. "I'd just find it better if I could make it work here, that's the natural fit.

"It always seems greener somewhere else and then the timing changes and then Williams are quick next year and I'm not here and I've been through two pretty tough years. We could still have a good finish to the year, but it hasn't been easy."

Despite a strong start to the season in Bahrain, the team has been disappointing since, suffering a number of mechanical failures. At the Nurburgring last weekend, both drivers were forced to change engines meaning that they started from the back of the grid. Though Nico Rosberg was able to finish in the points (seventh), Webber was eliminated by a hydraulics problem for the second time this season.

"I think I've done a better job for the team this year, I feel much better with the tyre changes," said the Australian, referring to the switch to Bridgestones.

"But it's up to Frank," he admitted. "I hope he likes what he's seen so far and I still think I'm one of the good guys out there, I keep my head up and keep going."
