Following an investigation by race stewards at the Nurburgring, Jacques Villeneuve has been demoted two grid spots for tomorrow's European Grand Prix.
In a statement released late on Saturday evening, the stewards ruled that Villeneuve had impeded Giancarlo Fisichella, though they agreed that the Canadian's actions might not have been deliberate.
It's not all bad news for the former World Champion however, for although he is supposed to forfeit two grid spots in reality he only loses one, since Mark Webber, who qualified tenth forfeits ten places.
