Super Aguri has announced that it has concluded an agreement with former Renault F1 test and development driver Franck Montagny to be its third driver for the forthcoming European Grand Prix, whilst discussions continue regarding further opportunities within the team.
Franck has previously travelled with Super Aguri to the Bahrain and Malaysian Grands Prix in the position of reserve driver. He will now be driving the team's third car during the free practice sessions on Friday at the Nurburgring next week alongside race drivers Takuma Sato and Yuji Ide. Franck will also be on stand-by as the team's reserve race driver.
Aguri Suzuki, Team Principal, Super Aguri: "It is good to have Franck with us again at the European Grand Prix. His feedback on the SA05's performance will be extremely useful to our engineers as he has a high level of F1 technical knowledge."
