BMW today began a three-day solo test at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, with Jacques Villeneuve joined by Robert Kubica.
The Canadian carried out a damper test in addition to working on an evaluation of several new components in preparation for the 2006 season opener, scheduled to take place in Bahrain in just over three weeks time.
Meanwhile, the Pole used the test day to work on the set-up of the new car.
Tomorrow (Wednesday), Nick Heidfeld will take over from Kubica and will carry out set-up work in preparation for a race simulation on Thursday, while Jacques will continue to assess dampers as well as evaluating tyres for Michelin.
