The Jakarta Post has reported that the local A1GP organising committee is working with the police and military to deploy 1200 troops at the circuit.
"We want maximum security at the circuit to avoid possible terrorist attacks," deputy chairman of organisers A1 Team Indonesia, Basuki Widjaja Kusuma said.
"We want a successful A1 Grand Prix to improve the already tarnished image of our country. By having a better image, the country's investment climate will be more attractive."
