According to Indian newspaper, Business Standard, Narain Karthikeyan is to be revealed as WilliamsF1's second test driver on Friday, when the British outfit launches its 2006 contender.
It's understood that a consortium of Indian companies, including communications giant Tata, is funding the former Midland (Jordan) driver's seat
Originally there was speculation, prompted by BMW's departure and the loss of (sponsor) HP, that Karthikeyan would take the lead test role, as a pay driver. However, WilliamsF1 pulled a surprise move by signing the highly experienced Alexander Wurz, as a paid driver.
The FW28 is unveiled at WilliamsF1's Grove HQ on Friday.
