The Grand Prix Manufacturers' Association has issued the following statement in response to the news that WilliamsF1 has signed the new Concorde Agreement with FOM.
"The Grand Prix Manufacturers Association (GPMA) acknowledges Williams' decision to sign a new commercial agreement with FOM. At their most recent board meeting, on 29 November 2005, the five manufacturers BMW, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Renault and Toyota reaffirmed their binding agreement to race together only in a series which satisfies the fundamental principles of a clear and equitable World Championship. While the GPMA members and their affiliated teams appreciate that progress has been made in recent negotiations, they remain committed to their objective to further develop the sport for the benefit of all stakeholders and in particular the fans."
