Contrary to reports elsewhere, the Brazilian round of the A1 GP championship has not been cancelled.
It's been claimed that the event, due to take place at Curitiba on February 12, has been "canned" because the track has not been granted the relevant licence.
However, a spokesperson for A1 GP told Pitpass: "The race is in question at the moment while A1GP's management assesses the likelihood of the circuit meeting the necessary FIA Grade 2 requirements.
"Brazil is obviously a key market with a huge amount of support for the Brazilian team," the spokesperson continued, "so we're looking at the situation and will make a final decision in the new year."
