Sepang Preview: Pakistan

With a more positive performance from Adam Khan and A1 Team Pakistan in Australia, the crates and suitcases are packed for the 6,612km journey to Kuala Lumpur International Airport for the next round of the A1 Grand Prix of Nations.

Round five takes place at the state-of-the art Sepang International Circuit, a 5.5km track challenging the driver with tight corners and sweeping chicanes, one of which can be negotiated at speeds in excess of 200kph! The circuit offers overtaking opportunities in abundance and will no doubt provide a great spectacle for fans at the trackside and around the globe.

A1 Grand Prix is unique in that the series is based around the competing nations bringing a sense of national pride. Commenting on the series, Arif Husain, chairman A1 Team Pakistan said: "The amount of support that the team has received is incredible. It was great to see a group of supporters and our national flag on display at Eastern Creek. The positive response that we are receiving via our website gives us a sense of pride in representing Pakistan. I hope that the support continues and Inshallah we will do our country proud on a worldwide stage."

Many A1 Team Pakistan supporters turned up to cheer on the team in the most recent race at Eastern Creek, Australia. Two typical fans, Rana Abid and Fahad Saeed said: We've had a great time at the race. The Team were fantastic and we could not believe it when Arif Husain came over and introduced himself. He thanked us for our support and took us to meet Adam Khan, who couldn't have been friendlier. He had seen us all cheering when he lined up on the grid for the race and said it gave him great encouragement. We are so proud of A1 Team Pakistan and especially Adam Khan. It is great to see the flag of Pakistan in this competition."
