Robbie Kerr and the British squad have left Europe and are now beginning the races further from home in their assault on the A1 Grand Prix series.

Currently standing 9th in the Championship after several non-finishes due to technical issues and an accident at Estoril in the race 10 days ago, A1 Team Great Britain is looking to move up the table this weekend.

With time in Sydney before the event starts in earnest, Robbie took time to sightsee and visit a local children's hospital as well as see kangaroos, koalas and penguins at a local park.

Robbie Kerr: "Estoril was disappointing – frustrating that we had lots of problems – in testing and qualifying we had loads of different gremlins that hampered the performance from the start. Then in the first race I got crowded out and then later tagged by Ralph which put us out of the race. Ralph got fined but that doesn't help me when I didn't finish to score points. The I was in 7th in race two and then the gearbox appeared gremlin. But that's behind us now. We have a clean sheet in Australia. I'm looking forward to it - getting my head down and working hard. I've never been here before and it looks interesting. I can't wait to get round. The high speed first corner is going to be different but at the moment I can't predict the difference it'll make to the starts. I need to drive it to find the lines for the critical first lap."
