2006 World Championship runner-up, Kimi Raikkonen, will be sidelined for the next month following a knee operation.
According to Reuters, the McLaren star underwent an arthroscopy - a procedure to repair damaged ligaments - on his left knee
"He has had an operation but it's nothing serious," said Anna Sorainen, spokeswoman for the Finn. "It was very minor, something that Kimi knew had to be done after the season, there's nothing serious about it.
"It took place last week and went very well," she added.
Although training can resume in four weeks, the Finn isn't due to begin testing again until mid-January.
