On the A1 rollercoaster, A1 Team Great Britain is looking towards the third round for another high after the low of Brands Hatch with a mechanical problem and the high of EuroSpeedway with a second place.
Robbie Kerr: "I’m really looking forward to Estoril following on from the podium at EuroSpeedway. Everyone was really pleased but I’ve come back down to earth and am focusing on Estoril – this time to be one placed higher! I haven’t driven the circuit much – about 20 laps in an F3 car so it’ll be a case of building up – changing a few things on the car and a gradual process – see what we’ve got and go from there."
The team is also being given the chance to test out its second car with two 40-minute test sessions. Alex Lloyd is to take to the wheel again following his test session in Paul Ricard before the season started.
John Surtees, Team Principal: "At the moment the plan is to put Alex in the car for the first unofficial practice session and then Robbie for the second. All being well Robbie will then continue to compete over the weekend. EuroSpeedway was good – although I would have liked to have been first instead of second – but we were against good competition and despite the incident in the first race which gave us an uphill struggle the team worked well, we got the strategy right and Robbie did all that he could. It was very encouraging."
