Just hours before the final race weekend of the season gets underway - with Renault and McLaren going head-to-head for the prestigious Constructors' Championship - the Pitpass editor's wife's Renault Megane Cabriolet Dynamique 1.9D has broken down, just days after celebrating its first birthday.
The local Renault dealership has warned that with at least 30 other cars to repair before it can even look at said Megane - which is thought to have suffered an engine management failure - Mrs Editor could be without her 'wheels' for some time.
Losing ten grid spots is one thing, being unable to make the weekly run to Sainsbury's quite another.
