Following strong performances in the practice sessions Sean McIntosh was gaining confidence all the time and put in a time in session one to put him 11th in the rankings.
As the pace increased Sean's times dropped but so did the other drivers and after sessions three and four Team Canada was set to take thirteenth position on the grid.
Sean McIntosh: "We just improved every run. The first time was on old tyres. The second run just pushed a bit too much I think and lost a bit of time. Third run we made some changes to the car but I lost about three-tenths when the Czech Republic car came out of the pits. Then the fourth run was what the car could do. It's unfortunate. If we'd have had two runs like that we'd probably have been ninth or tenth. I'd have liked to have been a bit higher up but it's a big improvement on Brands Hatch and we can only really get better."
