Red Bull to stick with Michelin

Red Bull Racing has confirmed today that it has extended its contract with Michelin for the 2006 season.

Red Bull Racing has enjoyed significant success in its maiden Formula 1 year with its Michelin- shod cars. Scoring 27 points in the 15 races contested so far, the Red Bull Racing - Michelin partnership currently lies sixth in the Constructors' Championship, two points ahead of BAR.

Sporting Director, Christian Horner commented: "We are delighted to have extended our agreement with Michelin for the 2006 season, which forms another significant part of our overall package for next year. Michelin's continuing development has been very impressive and its professionalism in dealing with the new single tyre regulations was a key factor in our decision."

Michelin Motorsport Director, Pierre Dupasquier added, "We are extremely pleased to be able to continue to count Red Bull Racing as a partner. They have proved very competitive this year and will no doubt be even more so in 2006."
