Despite showing superb pace in the free practice sessions, and on the back of back-to-back wins in Hungary and Turkey, Kimi Raikkonen's championship hopes have taken another battering with news that the Finn will lose ten grid positions following an engine change.
There were fears that the engine used on Friday and this morning might not last a full race distance, with Mercedes revealing that it had found a problem with an inlet valve.
This means that the Finn will lose ten grid positions this afternoon, which plays further into the hands of championship leader Fernando Alonso.
