Willi Weber, manager of the Schumacher's, will be named this week as the seat holder for the German A1 Grand Prix team.
Rumours of the German buying the franchise for his country's team have been rife for some time, especially since Weber himself has been telling various people within the media.
However, an outstanding court case, which could have seen Weber jailed for perjury, looked like causing the A1 GP deal to be abandoned, with some potential sponsors said to be wary of getting involved with the German.
Now, following the news that the perjury charges have been dropped - on condition that Weber makes a donation to charity - the German will be revealed as his country's franchise holder once a two-and-a-half day test gets underway at Paul Ricard on Wednesday.
According to Pitpass' sources, David Sears' Super Nova outfit will run the team, the English company already employed to run the Pakistan entry.
Pitpass can also reveal that two other countries (franchises) will be announced at this week's test, the last major A1 GP test before the season gets underway at Brands Hatch next month.
