A1 Team Pakistan got off to an encouraging start at the first official test days of the A1 Grand Prix at Silverstone. To everyone's delight, the team ran exceptionally well, proving to be among the quickest in the morning session of the second day of testing.
Adam Khan drove the new A1 car with skill, illustrating his potential. The team worked incredibly hard to prepare for the Silverstone test, so the lap times were rewarding. This quality teamwork needs to be maintained in order to achieve the desirable results in the forthcoming season.
Team Principal David Sears: "It's been an excellent first test for Adam Khan, demonstrating his talent in the new A1GP series. On day one he proved to be sixth quickest out of the 15 cars that were present and running. I'm pleased with this and the way he has integrated with the team. Day two got off to a brilliant start with Adam third quickest in the morning session; by the afternoon he sat in fifth position overall, which exceeded the team's expectations. Nur B. Ali, Team Pakistan's second driver tested this afternoon (Thursday) and performed well getting a taster of these powerful A1GP machines. We are all looking forward to the second test at the Paul Ricard circuit in Nice."
Adam Khan: "It's been absolutely brilliant today; being third fastest this morning was great. Overall we were fifth which of course is very pleasing, especially having some more experienced drivers behind me! I will be involved in some testing and will do some training at the gym before the next A1 test at Paul Ricard, so I hope to be feeling even more prepared for the next round."
