India has followed the example of the British A1 GP team, and nominated two drivers for the inaugural championship, which gets underway at Brands Hatch in September.
Speaking at the launch of his team's entry, team manager Akbar Ebrahim named Karun Chandhok and Armaan Ebrahim as his country's representatives.
Ebrahim also revealed that Narain Karthikeyan had been approached but that the Jordan F1 driver made it clear that at this time he is focussing only on F1.
The British team has already named Robbie Kerr and Alex Lloyd as its drivers, though only one driver may race at any one time.
Chandhok remains the youngest Formula Asia Champion and was Asian Rookie of the Year in 2001, in addition to contesting the British F3 Championship with Trevor Carlin's T-Sport.
15-year-old Ebrahim (Armaan) is currently third in the Formula BMW Asia Championship, and is regarded as something of a sensation, having won a round of the series at just the fourth attempt.
