This picture - sent in by Pitpass reader Richard Norton, who describes himself as an "Aussie in London" - confirms that in spite of the bull**** we've witnessed in recent weeks... months... years... F1 fans still love their sport as much as ever.
Just weeks after the world's media carried front-page pictures of outraged fans at Indianapolis, following one of the most shambolic episodes in the sport's history, thousands of race fans wait patiently for the start of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
What makes this picture even more significant, and will hopefully send out a clear message to all those seemingly intent on destroying the sport in order to boost their coffers and egos, is that it was taken at 5:30 in the morning, over seven-and-a-half hours before the race got underway.
Mark well 'Planet Paddock'… other sports would kill for this sort of loyalty.
