Almost a week after six of the Michelin-shod teams announced their decision to appeal against the guilty verdict given by the FIA's world Motor Sport Council in Paris, Red Bull, the seventh team to withdraw from the United States Grand Prix, has announced that it too will appeal.
Following last week's hearing, Red Bull said that it wanted time to consider its position, with some F1 insiders fearful that in view of the engine deal the Austrian team has signed with Ferrari for 2006 that this might lead to the team accepting the verdict and any subsequent punishment.
Announcing its decision to appeal, the team said it had "no choice".
