Having gone through a rather murky patch of late, Formula One finally gets an opportunity to improve its image in the best way possible, by raising money for a very worthwhile cause.
At the forthcoming Silverstone Grand Prix Ball, which kicks off the British Formula One weekend, a number of seats are available in a special Grand Prix 'Dodgems Challenge' which will feature various F1 drivers and celebrities.
The event, which takes place on Friday 8 July at Stowe House - less than a mile from the circuit - is aimed at raising money for the ABC Trust (Action for Brazilian Children) and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
There are seven co-driver seats still available, alongside Damon Hill, David Coulthard, Mark Webber, Nick Heidfeld, Antonio Pizzonia, Jody Scheckter and Patrick Head.
In addition, highly acclaimed chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli will provide culinary delights in the form of a gourmet three-course dinner while guests are entertained by a variety of acts, including Lionel Richie.
Be warned, this doesn't come cheap - no timewasters please - but this is for a most worthy cause, and you will get to experience something you'll remember for the rest of your life.
