It looks very much as if, having finally woken up and listened to the people, the FIA, Bernie and the 'powers that be' have finally got it right.
We refer of course to the recent change to the qualifying format, and the thoroughly sensible decision to listen to drivers, broadcasters and fans, and scrap the abysmal two-day format.
Had Formula One continued with the wretched two-day format, we would today have been looking forward to another fifty-odd minutes of tedium and gamesmanship.
Instead of this, we have one of the most surprising grids for years, with everyone salivating at the prospect of a great battle. Knowing the grid so far in advance, people can actually plan ahead for today's event.
All we need now is a slight change in the weather - nothing too drastic - to really add some spice.
The current qualifying format is not ideal, far from it, but it's better than what we had to endure for the first six races.
F1 continues to make it on to the back - and sometimes front - pages, for all the right reasons.
Long may it continue.
