Ralf Schumacher, who has scored just 14 points to his teammate's 26, will suffer a half-second penalty when it comes to this weekend's qualifying sessions.
This follows what race stewards describe as a 'tyre error' during Thursday's free practice sessions.
It's understood that following Thursday's two free-practice sessions, Schumacher was found to have used a (left front) tyre that had not been allocated to him. The error was subsequently put down, by Michelin, to 'human error'.
