The chief executive of BMW has rubbished claims that his company might be reconsidering it involvement in Formula One.
Although currently partnered with WilliamsF1, and understood to be on the verge of announcing a deal with Sauber, there has been speculation, particularly in Germany, that the German manufacturer might pull the plug on its F1 programme, not for the first time.
However, speaking at the opening of a new factory in Leipzig, Helmut Panke said: "We are not satisfied with the sixth and seventh places, and we are in intensive discussions on how to do better.
"However, F1 and BMW belong together."
