Jordan Grand Prix completed two days of testing on 27th and 28th April 2005 at the Circuit of Silverstone, UK.
Tiago Monteiro was the only driver running on Wednesday, completing 81 laps with his best time in 1.23.61. He was joined by Narain Karthikeyan and Nicky Pastorelli on Thursday, the three drivers sharing the driving duties. Their programme focussed on conducting tyre testing for Bridgestone and chassis set up work in preparation for the Spanish Grand Prix and forthcoming races. The fastest lap was done by Karthikeyan in 1.22.75.
At the end of the test, Tiago Monteiro said, "I have finished my second day of testing at Silverstone. It was a bit tricky with the weather, as we are used to it here but it could have been worse. We had some rain on Wednesday morning but then in the afternoon the weather improved and we were able to run in dry conditions and have a good programme, testing Bridgestone tyres. We gathered a lot of information and data and now they are going to be analysed in order to see which tyres we will be using in Spain. It was a positive two-day test and I am now looking forward to driving in Barcelona next week."
Narain Karthikeyan said, "These two days at Silverstone were constructive for the team. I was running only on Thursday afternoon, but the weather was not too bad and we managed to do many laps, testing different types of tyres and a new gearbox. I am quite happy with the progress we are making and cannot wait to drive at the Circuit de Catalunya, the first track I know so far this season."
Jordan Grand Prix test driver, Nicky Pastorelli added, "Thursday was my first real test in the car, although I have already done some laps in Barcelona during the winter. It was a good test where we have managed to do everything we wanted, according to our programme. Moreover, we tried a new gearbox and had no problem with it, which is encouraging for the team."
