As widely predicted, rain blighted the final day of testing at Paul Ricard.
As at Barcelona last week, many teams, aware that their would be rain on Friday, opted to pack up early and head home, leaving just McLaren and Jordan on duty.
Alex Wurz and Pedro de la Rosa were both in action for McLaren, as the test was moved from the main track configuration to the short track (a reduction of 574m in track length) at 11am when it began to rain.
Alex and Pedro were both running similar tyre programmes today focusing on the forthcoming San Marino Grand Prix. The pair alternated between dry, intermediate and full wet Michelin tyres depending on the weather conditions.
"This week I have put a significant number of kilometres on MP4-20, and have become much more familiar with the car," said the Austrian. "I am pleased with the progress we have made."
"Today has been a productive day, despite the weather and I have completed 104 laps of trouble free running," added the Spaniard. "The car has performed well in the changeable conditions."
Tiago Monteiro was on duty for Jordan, the Portuguese driver completing 66 laps on his way to posting a best time 3.2s off the pace.
