According to reports elsewhere, Red Bull Racing is "close" to agreeing a deal with Honda for an engine supply in 2006.
According to our sources this isn't so, and the Milton Keynes based outfit is likely to continue with Cosworth, providing a "nice price" can be agreed.
The Cosworth installed in the back of the RBR1 is not only powerful but "bulletproof", and with a further upgrade in power scheduled for later in the season, the Austrian team is confident that it can build upon its Melbourne success.
In addition, as previously revealed here on Pitpass, there is the 2006 V8 unit, which has already made an impressive 'bench test' debut.
The sticking point however appears to be money, and according to our sources Dietrich Mateschitz and his team are making noises regarding Honda - and a number of other potential suppliers - in an attempt to extract a better deal from the Northampton based company.
Furthermore, with Bernie Ecclestone claiming that two more teams have signed up to his new F1 package, thereby shunning the Grand Prix World Championship, it is unlikely - assuming Red Bull is one of the two teams - that it would be 'in bed' with a company (Honda) that now appears to be pushing ahead with the breakaway series.
Finally, expect Vitantonio Liuzzi to make his F1 race debut at Imola.
