Jenson Button says that he and BAR have put last summer's contract dispute firmly behind them, and claims that his relationship with the Brackley outfit is better than ever.
"I thought it would be quite difficult but it has been fine," he told The Sun. "It's been really positive.
"Initially they were thinking: Why doesn't he want to be with us," he continued, "we've had such a good year. But when I sat down and talked to them and explained my reasons they understood a bit more. The most important thing to me is me and my career. Since then we've worked very well together."
Asked if he had any ambition to join Ferrari, in spite of the fact that earlier this week he claimed the Italian outfit was coming towards the end of its reign, he replied: "If I had an option to be in the best team I would."
