We would absolutely hate to appear cynical, but we simply cannot help but feel that some things are just a little bit too obvious.
First off we have young Narain Karthikeyan being given his F1 break by Jordan, thus becoming the first Indian Grand Prix racer.
Days later, Bernie Ecclestone reveals that he is confident that India will get a Grand Prix within the next few years.
Then, as we prepare for the start of the 2005 Formula One World Championship, which will include the inaugural Turkish Grand Prix, Turkish driver Can Artam is signed to partner Scott Speed at the iSport GP2 team.
Surely just a coincidence, such deals would never be arranged merely to encourage interest in the sport and thereby increase broadcast viewing figures.
