Ferrari has revealed that it will launch its 2005 contender, the F2005 on Friday 25 February at Maranello.
The Italian will use a modified version of its 2004 in the first four races of the season, as it begins its attempt to win a seventh successive constructors' championship.
The team would have liked to introduce the new car at its home Grand Prix (San Marino) but this would not be feasible in light of the new regulation for 2005 whereby engines have to last for two successive race weekends.
The F2005 has a hard act to follow, the Italian outfit winning 15 of the 18 Grands Prix in 2004.
At present, Ferrari is in conflict with nine of its F1 rivals over its failure to agree to proposed cuts in testing, once the new season gets underway.
