The interesting thing about the statement issued by the Grand Prix World Championship (GPWC) on Wednesday evening, is that although Gruppo Ferrari Maserati is missing from the equation - having gone off to play Bernie's game - both Honda and Toyota appear to have signed up.
Although nothing has been formally announced, the media officers of both companies - Robert Watherston (Honda) and Andrea Ficarelli (Toyota) - are given as contacts, in addition to the representatives of Renault, DaimlerChrysler and BMW.
If Honda and Toyota are 'on board', and everything suggests that they are, this is a major boost in the wake of Ferrari's decision to jump ship, causing many to believe that the GPWC was finished.
It's understood that the two Japanese manufacturers approached the GPWC and asked to be included.
