Rubens Barrichello was the quickest driver on the final day of normal testing at the Circuit de Catalunya - on Saturday the track will be artificially dampened.
The Brazilian continued with development work on new components, electronic solutions and Bridgestone tyres.
The day was not without its problems for the world champions, with a hydraulic leak costing them valuable track time.
The Italian outfit is in action on Saturday on the Vairano straight, where Andrea Bertolini will be at the wheel of the F2004 M.
The only other team present was Toyota, which had Jarno Trulli, Olivier Panis and Ralf Schumacher on duty.
Like Ferrari, the Japanese team had its fair share of problems, with the Italian driver bringing out the red flags twice, following 'offs'. Meanwhile, Ralf Schumacher was once again left at the foot of the timesheets, which prompts the question why. Could they be experimenting?
All three drivers complained of the track being slippery, which is giving Olivier Panis cause for concern with regards Saturday, when the track will be soaked to allow wet weather testing.
