In his infinite wisdom, Bernie Ecclestone has rescheduled the 2005 British Grand Prix in order that it does not clash with the Men's Final at Wimbledon.
Instead, the Silverstone event will clash with the Goodwood Festival of Speed, an event that in recent years has been challenging the Grand Prix in terms of numbers of spectators.
The fact that the Grand Prix takes place over the same weekend, will seriously impact the number of F1 teams and drivers that will be able to visit Goodwood.
He giveth, he taketh away.
