Former F1 driver Jan Lammers has been named as one of the people behind the Dutch entry in the forthcoming A1 Grand Prix series.
Lammers participated in 23 Grands Prix between 1979 and 1982, with Shadow, ATS, Ensign, Theodore and March. It was the collapse of the March team that prematurely ended his F1 career.
In addition to F1, he enjoyed success in Sportscars with the TWR Jaguar team, winning a number of races, including the Le Mans 24-Hours in 1988. British race fans will also remember Lammers from the British Touring Car Championship in 1994, when he drove the TWR Volvo estate.
Holland is one of four new franchisees to be announced in the wake of the unveiling of the Lebanese entry, the others being Mexico, Turkey and Korea.
This brings the total number of countries that have, thus far, signed up to the series to 13, with the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, Portugal, China and Pakistan already on board.
