With traditional Grands Prix at Silverstone, Imola, Magny-Cours and the Nurburgring under threat, there are plenty of countries (seemingly) aching to take their place.
Just days after Mexican officials revealed a plan to hold a round of the Formula One world Championship from 2006, a consortium has expressed an interest in hosting a Grand Prix at a purpose built track in Sliven, Bulgaria.
According to reports, the consortium is hoping to have the track, which will feature a hotel and a casino, ready by early 2006.
