Gary Paffett, who had been linked with a possible seat at Sauber, has received yet another set-back.
The English youngster had been linked with the Swiss outfit, indeed there was talk of him driving the third car during Friday free practice in Hungary, with team boss Peter Sauber describing him as "exciting".
The news that Jacques Villeneuve has signed a two-year deal with the Swiss outfit, in addition to Friday's announcement from Ford, has dealt a severe blow to Paffett's plans for 2005.
At the weekend however, the youngster suffered further misery when Audi driver Mattias Ekstrom won in Brno, thus ending the Englishman's dream of winning the DTM crown.
