We are all familiar with the scenario, whereby a football club chairman makes a statement confirming that he has every confidence in his team's manager, sure enough a few weeks later, said manager is out of a job. We've seen similar situation in other sports and even politics.
Now we don't want to worry her, but maybe WilliamsF1 aerodynamicist, Antonia Terzi, should be giving serious consideration as to her long-term, possibly short-term, prospects.
Just days after the Grove outfit dropped its radical nose, in favour of a traditional version, technical director Sam Michael, has given the former Ferrari aerodynamicist his personal 'seal of approval'
"We look at the aero department, from a technical point of view, and its structure all the time," says Michael. "We made a few changes to the aero department recently, but Antonia is the person responsible for a car that won four races last year. Her procedures and methods are very strong and we are behind her.
"It is a matter of us moving forward and strengthening the department around the rest of the team," he adds.
